how do i save my date?
It’s SO easy! All you have to do is pay the non-refundable deposit that we give you, which is based on which type of session you book with us! Once you paid this deposit, the date is secured, and it only belongs to you! If you’re interested and haven’t paid the deposit on the date you asked about, it is still open to be snatched up by someone else! So if you’re positive you want the date, make sure you pay that deposit so that the date is yours!
What do I wear?
Your outfit is a huge part of your story. Do you wear cool, earthy, simple threads? Or do you rock bold patterns and spunky boots? It's all up to you! We want you to be comfortable. Before you leave for your day with us, look in the mirror and ask yourself: is this outfit 100% me and do I feel confident and happy? If so, you're golden!
will you travel?
Absolutely. Where's your dream photoshoot location? Beneath a waterfall in Iceland? On a cliff edge in Utah? A field in northern Italy? Among the goats in Arkansas? Tell us where you want to go, and we'll be there. We think elopement photography is raw, beautiful and exciting. You're smitten in love and full of adrenaline on an adventure with your soulmate. You're running up a mountain, hopping over rivers and dancing in the rain - now that's what we want to document.
When it comes to elopements, we consider it a mini-vacation! That we have to work just a little bit at! All of our elopement packages vary in pricing but this is the same information: all we ask is for you to cover our travel, food, and lodging fees! We don’t ask you to pay for anything else! Like the sound of this? Go ahead and book us for your destination wedding!
As for traveling for weddings, we don’t charge an hourly fee! Instead, we just ask for gas reimbursement and if the wedding location is two or more hours away or we’d be arriving home after midnight, you cover lodging!
how can you both be lead photographers?
Well, that's what happens when you work with your best friend. Before Lavinia + Louise Creative Company came around, we were both our own bosses. We were solo photographers running our own businesses. Once we decided to join together, we figured "why can't we both be the boss?" and here we are! We split up the work, collaborate during photoshoots, and bounce creatives ideas off of one another. It may not work for everyone, but it works perfectly for us, and it's a huge benefit for you!
can I book just one of you?
If you would rather just have one photographer, we can consider it. However, keep in mind the following: when you book only one photographer, you will have fewer photos and less creative power. Having two photographers allows for a higher volume of photographs to be captured throughout the session, and it allows for different angles and a wider variety of unique shots. If this is not an issue for you and you still would prefer to have only one of us with you for your session, be sure to let us know as soon as you book your package with us.
We are more than happy to split up should your date fall on top of a date we’ve already booked! That being said, we would prefer to at least have a second shooter with us! We can’t be everywhere, ya know?
what happens if it rains and we have a session booked?
Have you ever danced in the rain? We think it's fun! Get soggy! Grab and umbrella! Jump in a puddle! Have a mud fight! We'll be there to laugh with you and document it all. That being said, if you'd like to wait until the sun decides to come out, we will be happy to re-book your session at no additional charge. You don't control the weather, so why would we charge you extra for it? On the other hand, we don’t offer refunds, and once a deposit is paid it’s nonrefundable.
how will i get my photos or video?
We use a photo sharing platform called Pixieset to share our photos. They will be shared with you via email once your album is completely ready. As for a video, this depends on what works best for you! We like to use Youtube, but if your situation calls for a different platform, we can figure that out together. We’re always open to new ideas!
CAN i GET THE RAW IMAGES?
Just like a chef won’t serve you an uncooked meal or a baker that won’t just give you their ingredients for bread, we don’t deliver RAW images to our clients! We have a process, which includes our visions, editing style, and experience. When you hire us for any session, you’re hiring us because you’ve seen our work and trust the creative process that we have - which results in your GORGEOUS images!
